Michael Stone is a American freelance video producer currently based in Milan, Italy.
In the last 3 years, Michael has produced over 100 videos, primarily news pieces, but also marketing / promotional videos as well as fashion and creative pieces.
Michael's clients have included:
BaderTV, Ermenegildo Zegna, NES Communications, PressTV, Managed Designs, and TheDesignVlog.com.
In addition to news and corporate videos, Michael Stone has also collaborated with other video producers on a variety of creative projects, providing direction, production assistance, script consulting, and technical assistance.
Some of these projects include Campaign America, Aquaduct Hunters in the 21st Century, and an upcoming Italy-based web-series.
Having had a passion for video and cinema from a young age, Michael has produced a collection of short subject narratives and Straight-To-YouTube videos which can be seen on his channels: AwfwallTV, MikeStoneUSA, and VavTV.
Recently, Michael has also been collaborating with Mario Ortiz on a Milan-based entertainment web-series called Milano Rocks!
While studying computer science at the University of Illinois at Champaign, Urbana, Michael worked part time with the local PBS broadcasting station, WILL-TV, in various roles including camera-operator, audio technician, floor director, computer graphics artist, editor, and technical director.
Also during college, Michael co-founded (together with Andrew McAllister) the Illini Film & Video Club, a student-organization dedicated to helping student film makers to realize their creative projects and network with other students with similar interests. The club - still alive and thriving 10 years later - holds an annual student film festival and is proud to help and promote Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival held each spring in Champaign's Virginia Theater.
